My work treats humans as emotional beings rather than the logical beings that we are socialized into, and our capacity to be persuaded by powerful external forces exerted on us by the societies we exist in. SOULIC CONVERSATIONS starts from a quest to find a home, a place where it is okay to be oneself. I look at the home of the soul, the essence of humanity in the body; how is the soul anchored to the body, and what other connections (can) exist? I have previously explored connections in belonging to people, to places, and to self, looking at the continuum between belonging and fitting in.
